Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles

I downloaded this free on iTunes the other night after forgetting when it was debuting.

Some of my thoughts:

• I like the time period they have set it in. While not a Terminator buff or anything, I've seen 1-3 at least three times a piece and know the story arc pretty well.
• One thing I took away from the premiere is how hard it must be to get the Terminator. The guy who was chasing him this episode was pretty terrible. You'd think being a robot would be pretty easy but that guy wasn't even close to Arnold or Robert Patrick.
• "Class Dismissed" should have been cut from the script. Ugh.
• The actors who portray John Connor and FBI Agent Ellison I thought did a really good job.
• Sarah Connor is pretty terrible right now.
• Love seeing Dean Winters get some work. I think his character has some obvious potential.
• A lot of good action in this, especially for a TV series. Good amount of suspense too. Great musical score for a TV series in my opinion although they did a bit of overkill with the 90s music to let you know it was 99.

Overall I think it is a pretty good debut and I'll definitely be watching episode 2 this Monday.

I'm DVRing it one more time. So far, I hate Summer Glau as the TerminatriX, I think Lena Headey should stick to gladiator movies, and the other Terminators are about as menacing as Girl Scouts.

I'm really trying to like this series but something about it is just - off.

I actually don't mind Glau so much, she hasn't really gotten a chance to shine.

Having her be almost human is sort of lame and a cop-out for story purposes though.

Percent chance that Connor falls in love with her? 100%.

My feeling is that she's a cyborg made to look like a woman he falls in love with in the future but who knows...
