The Cincinnati Bengals have deactivated receiver Chad Ocho Cinco for Thursday night's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers for violation of a team rule.

The Bengals would not elaborate on why Ocho Cinco was deactivated, and said there would be no comment until after the game.

However, ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen reports that according to a team source, Ocho Cinco was 45 minutes late to a meeting Wednesday night.
gotta think it's just more than that though

Bengals beat writer Mark Curnette reports that sources out of Pittsburgh tell him Chad Ocho Cinco will be deactivated in Week 12 for oversleeping for a team meeting.
Rudi Johnson made the same error a few times late in his Bengals career and coach Marvin Lewis would normally just hold Rudi out for a quarter. Ocho Cinco hasn't earned the benefit of the doubt. Bengals.com confirms Curnette's report and says 85 "begged" Lewis to let him play, but the coach wouldn't budge. Ocho Cinco will be eligible to return in Week 13.

A homeless man who goes by Doc was cashing in change at a Cinemark Theatre in Dallas when a guy walked up and offered to pay his way into the movie. He planned to spend his day passing out fliers and accepted a rain check before realizing that he recognized the generous gentleman.

"Was that Tony Romo?" Doc asked the worker behind the counter.

It sure was. Doc, who requested that his real name not be used, hustled across the street to the consignment store that paid him to occasionally pass out fliers and requested the day off. By the time he got back to the theater, Role Model had already started.

Romo, who confirmed the story but didn't want to elaborate, waved Doc over to sit by him and his friend.

Doc sheepishly mentioned that he hadn't showered in a few days.

"Don't worry about that," Romo said. "I'm used to locker rooms."

And so the $67 million quarterback and a man who doesn't have $6.70 to his name sat next to each other and shared laughs for 90 minutes or so.

For Romo – who made news by changing a couple's tire on a roadside on the way home the night of the season opener – it was just another kind gesture to a random stranger. It meant the world to Doc.

"For me, it was a blessing," Doc said. "It came at just the right time. It gave me some encouragement and faith in mankind. I just wanted to say thank you."

It's a nice story, but it's weird as fuck. I wouldn't do it. Then again, I hate everyone so what do I know?

I also have no problem seeing a movie alone.

FOXSports' Jay Glazer reports that Chad Ocho Cinco was deactivated for Week 12 after walking out of a Bengals team meeting.
NFL.com's Adam Schefter heard a similar story. Chad reportedly showed up to the meeting in an "extremely groggy" state. After Ocho slumped into his chair, OC Bob Bratkowski reportedly told him to straighten up. Chad refused, then walked out of the meeting with Marvin Lewis chasing him. The two had a heated exchange and Lewis sent Chad home. The Bengals and Ocho Cinco agreed before the season that if he made it through incident-free, Chad would get a pay raise in 2009. Chad has violated that accord. Nov. 20 - 4:39 pm et

Bengals just went on an 11 play, 6 minute drive culminating in a Ryan Fitzpatrick TD pass to Glenn Holt.

Those few minutes we were up 7-0 were glorious though. They will never be taken away from me.
