Daunte retires from the NFL... man, talk about an ego, doesnt want to be a backup even though he clearly sucks since knee surgery/Moss leaving.

Jason Peters still hasn't reported to Buffalo - in fact, he still refuses to communicate with the Bills until they agree to renegotiate his contract - and Angelo Crowell is now out for a few weeks after inexplicably opting for a knee scope. What was a winnable game has now turned into a clusterfuck.

I'm cautiously optimistic that Martz installing a reasonable facsimile of an offense + middle of the pack D = 7 or 8 wins

I wasn't that excited about the NFL until about two weeks ago, but now I'm giddy as a school girl, although I'm pretty peeved that I'll have to dip out to a sports bar to watch the game.

Press Release from the Bengals

Effective today, the Bengals begin the process of listing the former Chad Johnson as Chad Ocho Cinco for all club business, per the legal change of his surname effected in Florida. The list of appropriate changes will include the player wearing the name Ocho Cinco on the back of his jersey for Sunday's season opener at Baltimore.
