Proof you need more than a fastball

Reliever Matt Lindstrom has been optioned to AAA Albuquerque.

The right-handers 5.18 ERA and 1.93 WHIP are both the worst out of the bullpen. In 4 1/3 innings pitched this month Lindstrom has struggled mightily, posting a 16.62 ERA, allowing 8 runs, on 13 hits and 7 walks. This 'performance' in June comes on the heels of a terrific month of May. The heir apparent to the mild mannered reporter's ever shaky throne posted an ERA of 0.84 over 10 2/3 innings in May.

No word yet on who was recalled, but Randy Williams or Marcus Gwyn are possible replacements. Joe Frisaro mentioned Taylor Tankersley.
