What's the level of anger here? What am I dealing with?

![]() ![]() Marlins outfielder Josh Willingham stood out at this morning's extended spring training game between the Marlins and Cardinals, but not necessarily for the reasons he hoped. The teams agreed on special rules to let Willingham - who is recovering from a lower back strain - bat third every inning, and he exited the game after his fifth at-bat. Willingham went 0 for 4 with a walk and two strikeouts, and looked particularly feeble on the second at-bat, swinging well behind a fastball from a Cardinals minor leaguer. Willingham was the only Marlins player with an actual black jersey - most of the players' and coaches' uniform tops have faded to a greenish-brown after long hours in the sun. Willingham has been on the disabled list since May 2, but he could be headed to Class AA Carolina later this week. Marlins manager Fredi Gonzalez expressed optimism about Willingham's chances to return to the team before the All-Star break July 14-16. I don't like the part about looking feeble.

It's really not a big deal I remember when Giambi was hurt and coming back from the DL he had to go through Single A ball and I was privileged enough to see him play against the Fort Myers Miracle (Twins Affiliate) he struck out, grounded out and doubled.
Can't expect too much from the Hammer right away lets just wait and see. |
