Ross Seeks Medical Evaluation
  Marlins outfielder Cody Ross left camp in street clothes Monday morning to have his knee evauluated after tweaking it Friday in Kissimmee. Ross insisted after the incident that it was a non-issue and as recently as Sunday indicated he was fine. Attempting to steal second base, Ross pulled up and hyperextended his left knee. He was helped off the field but later said he could have walked away on his own. Before Monday's game against the Astros, manager Fredi Gonzalez did not acknowledge Ross was seeing a doctor. He did say Ross could be back in a game as soon as Tuesday if he was cleared. In 2003, Ross underwent an anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction on that knee. If the Marlins decide to start Cameron Maybin in the minors and Ross is healthy, he's a good bet to be the Opening Day center fielder against Johan Santana and the Mets based on his career numbers against left-handed pitching.
