Default Twins Owner Carl Pohlad Dies at 93

Minnesota Twins owner and long time Minnesota banker Carl Pohlad has died at age 93.

The billionaire owner of the Twins was among the top 100 richest people in America.

He bought the Minnesota Twins in 1984, and the team ownership has stayed in his family ever since.

In 2001, Pohlad sold Marquette Banks to Wells Fargo for an estimated one billion dollars.

His wife Eloise passed away in 2003.

Pohlad was generally credited with keeping baseball in Minnesota when he first bought the team.
