Default VandenHurk Optioned to AAA

No corresponding move, possibly a reliever coming up, or maybe waiting for Anibal.

Should be fun to see what he does in Albuquerque.

The only thing I am surprised about is AAA. They must have given up on him if he's going there (look at Barone and Seddon), otherwise he'd have gone to Carolina.

My guess is they'll call up a reliever for a few days and Anibal will start in five days.

I think Vanden Hurk is a MLB ready reliver right now.

If we do end up trading Tucker as I expect us to do at this point, I think Vanden Hurk can become our closer of the future.

When you struggle with command and walk the pitcher I don't think so. He also doesn't have command of all of his pitches.

Vanden Hurk as closer? Yuck....

This thing is Lindstrom's to have next year.

that's hogwash

Barone and Seddon aren't in Hurk's league of talent and potential

Then why send Hurk to Albuquerque instead of back to Carolina like they did with Tucker? They'll have an opening in Carolina with Anibal coming back. Right now, they have Tucker, Sinkbeil, Thompson and Glen in Carolina's rotation.

I just don't get the sending of him to AAA. Unless they are saving a spot in Carolina's rotation for Miller...
