I'd have to check the gamelogs, but it doesn't seem to me that Amezaga has gotten that much playing time at Ross' expense. And even when Fredo gets the start in CF, Ross will sometimes start in RF. Seems like Ross was just getting the day off today, not unusual for a day game after a night game. With Ross' history of hammy problems, I think the coaching staff wants to make sure he gets the occasional day off.

Way to go, Fredi! Leaves LoDuca in there when Philly went to the RH pitcher instead of bringing in Baker. As for Amezega, he was in there for Ross the other day too. That's why I asked if Ross was hurt, but he wasn't. It's just Fredi's usual nonsense playing him ahead of Cody Ross. Like I said, I'm not a fan of Fredi. Here he is pulling Nolasco for "matchup" purposes, yet he left LoDuca in against Durbin. Just really stupid stuff like that has cost us a bunch of games this year.

Don't the umpires have the discretion to award a runner an extra base on a ground rule double due to fan interference if it is clear that the runner would have been able to advance more than two bases in the absence of the interference?
