I think I've already seen this episode. One out walk and Pujols homers. This happened yesterday as well.

Apparently, the home plate ump is a golfer because he's been calling some "strikes" that look like they're about the same height as a golf ball on a tee.

Treanor got his first start in a while, fouled a ball of his leg and not he tried to go catch but couldn't do it so Baker replaced him.

JJ with his best Houdini impersonation. 2nd and 3rd, 0 outs, 0 runs. JJ got three infield groundballs to get out of the inning. Still 2-1 Cardinals.

And he fans to end the inning.

On a separate note: I cannot believe how badly Hermida has gone in the tank at the end of the year.

That was probably the scariest double play ever but a double play nonetheless.

Come on offense. Wake up and score some runs.

This is pathetic. I just watched my football team get their asses kicked and now Hammer turns what could have been a big inning (after what we did last inning) into another bases empty, two out situation. And now that. Yuck.

Wainwright is at 98 pitches. Based on what LaRussa did yesterday, he'll probably get the 8th inning as well meaning we only get one inning to try to mount a rally against the Cardinals pen. That worked on Friday but not so much yesterday.

Regardless of whether the runner on 3rd scores, another really solid outing for JJ.

Maybe Cody just knocked some sense into Hammer or, at least, woke him up.
